Government Reform

Our host Tom Balya, Chairman of the Westmoreland County Commission, and co-host Jake Haulk, President of the Allegheny Institute for Public Policy, talk about a southern beltway, property tax reform, and the Republican Revolution in Pennsylvania. First Joseph Giglio, author of "Mobility; America's Transportation Mess and How to Fix It" tells us how economic growth can be stifled if roads aren't properly funded. Then Doug Hill, Executive Director of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania talks about property tax reform; what's been happening with it in the legislature, and where we need to go with it. Then, he calls himself a 'political venture capitalist:' Bob Guzzardi, a businessman and political activist from Southeastern PA who has been behind many of the challengers to incumbents in Pennsylvania's legislature, talks about his vision for government reform.
