I am humbled by this... because I have been troubled by how the mainstream evangelical church has treated homosexuals in general. Although I didn't agree with the judgmental response, I didn't really think out how Jesus would, or I should respond differently. Essentially, really, my response as well as mainstream evangelicals is no different than the world-culture we live in.

I am both convinced of, and convicted of my own sin towards gay and lesbian persons. I now have to find a way to put my love into action... thank you for this brave article and for showing the empathy and compassionate thinking that we as Christians MUST embrace to love others. After all, we are sinful people as well... there is really no difference, except that we by faith, are saved by grace through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1-2
