I believe the greatest issue we have as Americans is living in a society that constantly strives toward secularism. Now I am not arguing that we should have the churches govern our laws, because I understand the necessary separation of state and church. The problem, however, is that our society separates not only from church but also from God. There is a grave ongoing battle in our nation, and it stems from our very actions which root from our principles and attitudes. Those who are strongly for abortion seek more than freedom of choice, but a means to escape the consequences of living a sexually free lifestyle. A few who turn to abortion in the case of rape desire to escape having a child who will remind them of their traumatic past, and refuse adoption due to emotional bondage. We as a society need to carefully look at these issues, and start with why women insist on abortion. In all cases, abortion is not the answer. It is intrinsically evil, and no different in nature than murder. There is also the scientific argument that a fetus becomes a human at viability, and therefore such people are against partial birth abortions. But I tell you the act of any abortion, the act of intentional termination of pregnancy, is not a matter of arguing when the life becomes human. The end result of abortion is preventing a life that God intended to exist. Making abortion illegal will not solve the issue entirely, because those who insist on it will do it illegally. But making abortion illegal is good start, and as a result will bring a rapid decline. Right now, we are losing over 4 million lives a year due to abortion. It is time we realize as a nation that free choice has its limits when it comes to God’s laws. There is no human right to kill another life, and to believe this will only separate this country from God. A nation separated from God can only result in destruction, and the events of 9/11 clearly shows we are not invincible.

...all i know is that even though i think abortion is wrong, i can't say that making it illegal will help solve the problem...abortion is a symptom of the overall problem of unplanned/unwanted pregnancies. Nobody is coming up with a plan for that instead we want to cover it up and sweep it under the rug and criminalize abortions...that just doesn't make sense to me.
