About Richard Abanes

Richard Abanes is an award-winning, bestselling journalist who has authored/co-authored twenty books covering world religions, cults, the occult, pop culture, and the entertainment industry. WELCOME!!!!!!

HELLO CROSSWALK!

I just wanted to drop a quick note in here to let all of you know that I am very excited and honored to be given this opportunity to add my voice as a blogger to those already invited to share their thoughts at Crosswalk.

I hope to give everyone great stuff to read covering areas of doctrine, apologetics, discernment, pop culture, the entertainment industry, movies, music, video games, Christian living, today's spirituality, and controversial issues in this age of people seeking truth.

So, if you'll just be patient while a few technical glitches are worked out behind the scenes, then at some point in the near future, you'll be able to tune in regularly to see my thoughts.

Oh, and BTW, if any of you are interested in having me deal with a certain topic, feel free to just drop me a quick email/note, and I'll see what I can do. You can include questions on doctrine, Christianity, my own personal life (which I may, or may not, answer—LoL), or whatever pops into your head.

peace in him,

Richard Abanes

I am so happy you will be posting here. I have been following another writers blogs and it has been disappointing, to say the least. I know it is easy to be critical or "dogmatic". But, the writer doesn't seem to be interested in posting anything scriptural or even quoting the bible. One of his books is, well, this is a short explanation: http://www.heresywatchdog.com/imokyourenot/ I want to hear the truth, even it is painful. I don't want watered-down Christianity. I don't care about being politically correct ~ to the extent that I dilute my faith. I don't want to be overzealous and drive people away either. I believe the bible is the infallible word of God. I'm so pleased you are here. It will be a great pleasure to follow you.

Hey Red,

I just added "music," "movies," and "video games" to the list. Hope you enjoy these topics as well. Spread the word.

I hope to have some lively, thought-filled, CIVILIZED (LoL), God-honoring, biblically-sound, and helpful conversations that will move all of us forward in our understanding of God, scripture, the world around us, and our own hearts.

peace,

RA
