SARAH PALIN GUILTY: Ethics Violation

Readers,

NO need for comment. I am sure that the news will be covering this significant story as it unfolds in the coming days. Here are a few snippets of stories already circulating from major news sources -- liberal, conservative, and neutral. God, please help this country.

"Body blow for McCain as Palin found to have abused powers . . . Sarah Palin, was found to have abused her powers in pursuit of a personal feud with her former brother-in-law. . . . Palin was found to have breached the ethics rules which govern her conduct as governor of Alaska."

"'Troopergate' inquiry finds Sarah Palin guilty . . . An ethics investigation into Sarah Palin, John McCain’s running-mate, concluded last night that she unlawfully abused her authority by dismissing Alaska’s police chief, a huge blow at a time when the Republican ticket. . . . The conclusion of the “Troopergate” inquiry will dominate headlines and at the very least provide a big distraction for Mr McCain as he seeks to stop a slip in the polls that threatens his White House ambitions.

"Investigation Report: Palin Unlawfully Abused Her Power In Troopergate Scandal. . . . Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for the McCain campaign, a bipartisan committee (10 Republicans, 4 Democrats) investigation into Sarah Palin's involvement in the Alaska troopergate scandal has found that she unlawfully abused her power in firing Alaska's public safety commissioner."

"Panel Finds Palin Abused Authority in Firing State Official . . . 'Governor Palin knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda, to wit: To get Trooper Michael Wooten fired,' said the report, which was issued in Anchorage."

"Alaska panel finds Palin abused power in firing . . . Sarah Palin unlawfully abused her power as governor by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper, the chief investigator of an Alaska legislative panel concluded Friday. The politically charged inquiry imperiled her reputation as a reformer on John McCain's Republican ticket."

IMHO, this country is in peril. We need God's hand to help us all get through these times. And I would ask each of you to please begin praying now for whoever ends up being our president and vice-president. And to please use GREAT care in your choice for the next leader of this country.

S: I know God has led me to vote for McCain-Palin.

RA: Good! :-) You vote that way and God Bless you. Others will feel God leading them to vote that way, too -- or not.

In the end, whoever wins, according to scripture, will be the authority ("King" if you will) that God chose:

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him” (Daniel 2:20-23).

May God's candidate win! The Bible tells us that this will indeed take place. And in at least that, we can all rest.

But shouldn’t we hold our brother or sister accountable for their false belief and help correct it? 3. “And to please use GREAT care in your choice for the next leader of this country.” You said this after you quoted the article about Palin which leads some of your readers to believe you are being bias. It’s like saying hey you watch out Palin is in violation of ethics be careful not to vote for McCain b/c she’s v.p.. We should consider 3 things when voting - the candidate’s values *Pr. 14:34 (homosexual adoption, constitutional right to abortion, state constitutional amendments that protect traditional marriage, and the list goes on), character *1 Sam 16:7 (consistency between character and values, commitment, and Godly character refuses to compromise commitment to God), and competence *Josh 11:16-23 (can the candidate do what he/she said they would do, so they possess the necessary skills to get the job done). I know God has led me to vote for McCain-Palin.

THIS COMMENT IS IN 2 PARTS (didn't have enough room)
Ok so I was very careful to review both your articles on Palin and McCain vs. Obama. Your right there is not an exact point that you argue although I have found you are very careful to not take sides of either candidate. 3 things I would like to address.
1. You wrote "So, at the outset, let us not judge each other, argue with each other, or despise each other if we find a brother or sister who disagrees with us about the absolute, perfect, God-chosen candidate." I agree we should not argue, but here's the deal you also said 2. "It depends on how God is leading you. It’s not about how he is leading someone else." The truth is God is a God of consistency so He will not tell one person McCain and another Obama. So while we may not argue with someone about their decision it is so they themselves may be misled by Party Loyalty, Personal Connection, Public Charisma, or Private Prejudice.
