This is a difficult topic for me, as a believer living in a society comprised of muslims, sikhs, and other faiths, Christianity has to be more than just jargon and ritual. Just quoting the bible to someone who has never even heard of it, nevermind bothering to pick one up and read it is not an effective form of evangelism. Similarly, Christians who preach a gospel of peace but promote what would seem to be an agenda of violence says volumes to the unbeliever.
I find that having a conversation with a Muslim about my faith easier than having it with someone who has no faith at all. I would not call it neo athiesm, rather it is a faith of self. They have defined a moral code based upon what works for them personally, and it is considered politically incorrect for anyone to challenge them on it. This problem is not defined by liberal thinking or right vs left partisim. Rather it's a universal problem in the west. There are generations growing up apathetic towards the church.

We have grown too comfortable in our lifestyle and culture. Christians don't want to hear about the enemy or see the truth of what is going on in our culture and our world. We go to church on Sunday and live "decent" lives. Isn't that enough? Besides, God is in charge and He will take care of everything, right? What difference could I possibly make?

As christians, we ought to be "troublers" to the lost and to complacent brothers and sisters in Christ. We are the body and we have much work to do. Being a "troubler" is tough--we will not be popular and we may be labeled "downers". But, if we don't soon wake up God's church in America and the world, christianity will be outlawed. Think I'm kidding? Read "Mind Siege" by Tim LaHaye and David Noble--for a start.

1000 Characters isn't enough for an adequate response so I will make this fairly concise. 'Islamofacism' is not the enemy. 'Neo-Atheism' is not the enemy. Satan and his forces of darkness are the enemy. Fighting them is not the answer either, that is merely external. We must do what Paul does when he talks about 'fighting'; he is struggling with a great effort to see the Kingdom of God reach the ends of the earth through the Gospel of Salvation. And that is how we replace this 'Regressive Christianity'; we must become missional with a passion to see the Gospel of Jesus spread to people who have not heard yet. That must start with the local church and the people of that church seeing and understanding that that is the theme of the Bible as written here: http://www.thetravelingteam.org/?q=node/24

Sir;
Just a reminder that when Kowemaine(spelling) was in power he was negociating with the pope for the merger of the two religions. After he was no longer in power, nothing more wassaid. Thanks and God bless...
