Well, there's one thing missing from this article. Compassion. Jesus looked on the crowds and had compassion on them, not contempt, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. At least these young people were attempting to apply their energy to something they thought was worthwhile. At least they weren't beating up store keepers or selling crack to kids. They were doing what they thought would help preserve something. Now about that word "preserve" which the author detests so much: Now that metal prices have gone up so much, how 'bout if we melt down the bronze statue of Teddy? After all, he would have approved of conserving the copper alloy for the use of future generations wouldn't he? Unless of course, you are afraid that something would be lost forever that could not be replaced. www.robertsessford.com
