Clint Eastwood to Direct “Miracle on the Hudson” Movie

On January 15th, 2009, passengers boarded a flight on US Airways expecting to pass the next several hours nibbling peanuts and browsing SkyMall magazine. Instead, their unassuming trip became a harrowing adventure when multiple bird strikes caused both jet engines to fail. With the plane going down and only seconds to act, Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger managed to guide the craft to a successful water landing in the nearby Hudson River. Both passengers and crew survived the landing and were later rescued by watercrafts. The incident came to be known as the “Miracle on the Hudson”, an event that sounded like something straight out of an action movie.

That’s what Clint Eastwood is hoping at least. According to Relevant Magazine, the famous filmmaker is looking to adapt the story for his next major movie,       

After successfully bringing the true story of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle to the big screen in American Sniper, filmmaker Clint Eastwood is turning to another true story for his next project. Eastwood is making a movie about Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the airline pilot who successfully landed an commercial flight on a river in New York City when it’s engines went out in an incident that has become known as “The Miracle on the Hudson.” No release date has been announced ...
