In June we announced the Anchor for China project. We asked the Lord to help us equip 25,000 Chinese pastors and church leaders will free copies of Anchor for the Soul, a simple presentation of the gospel. Even though the book has only been in print since March, it has already been widely distributed. Several bookstores have asked if they can order a thousand copies. The following responses come from the "Glory" bookstore in Shanghai:
"A lot of readers came back and told me excitedly how they benefited from this book."
"I want get as many copies as I can and present them as gifts to my friends."
"This is a wonderful book, quite suitable for spreading the gospel and understanding our belief. I will recommend this book to everyone I know."
"We copied several paragraphs as extracts and emailed them to hundreds of customers and friends."
The following comes from an individual in Chengdu:
"This book really moves people. It is warmly welcomed by middle school students and women students in college."
We set a goal of raising $25,000 for this project. As of today, we are at approximately $20,000, with other gifts expected soon. We have heard from the publisher that they plan to reformat Anchor so it it can be printed at a cheaper cost. This means we equip even more pastors and church leaders for the same amount of money.
If God touches your heart to help us cross the finish line on this project, make your check payable to Keep Believing Ministries, and be sure to write China in the Memo section. 100% of what you give will go to purchase copies of Anchor in Chinese.
