Percy and Florence Arrowsmith of England celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary today. According to Guinness World Records, they hold the record for the longest marriage of a living couple. They also hold the record for the oldest aggregate age. Percy is 105, Florence is 100. They attribute their longevity to several factors, including commitment "not to go to sleep on an argument," which sounds very much like Ephesians 4:26, "Don't let the sun go down on your wrath." They say they always kiss and hold hands before going to bed at night.
What else? Florence says you must never be afraid to say "sorry." Percy said he secret to a happy marriage comes down to two words: "Yes, dear."
