We are back home in Tupelo after our all-too-brief visit to Gulf Shores. We're here just long enough to unpack, wash clothes, repack, and grab a few hours of sleep before heading out on our last multi-state trip of the year. We're leaving here at 3:15 AM to drive to Birmingham where we will catch a Southwest flight to Albany, New York, arriving at 12:35 PM. We'll rent a car and drive five hours to Lancaster, PA where I will be speaking in chapel services at Lancaster Bible College Tuesday through Thursday. On Thursday afternoon we hop in the car and head back to New York because on Friday night Marlene and I are doing our first-ever team speaking event, a conference on "Why Did This Happen to Me?" on suffering and the sovereignty of God at Word of Life Inn in Schroon Lake. The following Monday (October 30) we fly to Chicago for a Keep Believing Ministries board meeting. On Tuesday night we have supper with Josh and Leah. And on Wednesday, November 1 we fly to Birmingham and drive back to Tupelo. These are new opportunities, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the Lord works things out along the way. I hope you'll pray for us as we venture from place to place over the next few days.
