A few days ago I ran across this quote from Winston Churchill: "When you're going through hell, keep going." Right now you are in a place where all is uncertain and you re sorely tempted to give in to your doubts, fears and worries. Remember these two words: keep walking. Just keep walking. Nothing is gained by camping out in the valley of darkness. The only way out is to keep on walking.

There are two things that I think are likely to be true in your situation: You are where God wants you right now, and you aren’t going to stay there forever. Or even for much longer. My guess is that the “norm” you are looking for will eventually come to you.

Now let me ask you a question. Let us suppose that you were God. Okay, that’s a fun starting point. And you heard someone you loved say something like this: “I'm clinging like I've never clung before.  I know He is my life and I know that He sees me, tossed at sea,  I know He is molding me and making me into something more beautiful, I know that He has prepared me for such a time as this, but, when is it going to pass.” If you were God, would you grant that prayer? Probably not immediately. For the moment, God has you in a very uncomfortable place personally and a very powerful place spiritually. Things are happening for you and in you that can’t happen any other way.
