Today's One Year Bible Reading

Leviticus

I don't know about you, but all this talk about contagious skin diseases is making me itch. ☺

Mark

6:2 The next Sabbath he began teaching in the synagogue... Notice that Jesus observed the Sabbath! If He did away with it, He would not have kept it.

Psalm

39:4-5, 7 Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered-how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath." And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Once again, we must always remember on the good days and the bad days of life: THIS WORLD IS NOT MY HOME (TWINMH). That thought recounted often will get you through this life with a sense of hope & expectation!

Questions for reflection:

Do you find yourself getting caught up in the here and now, forgetting that something better and more lasting is coming? How would the thought, "TWINMH" change the way you live each day in the following areas:

  • The way you handle problems?

  • The way you invest in relationships?

  • The way you cope with loss?

  • The way you deal with stress?

  • The way you prioritize your day?

  • The way you resist temptation?

  • The importance you place on the things of this world?
