Today's One Year Bible Reading

7:10 Then the court began its session, and the books were opened. Did you notice that court began session while the boastful speech of the little horn was still going on? That means things are going to be happening even before we are aware to bring about the end.

7:13-14 As my vision continued that night, I saw someone like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient One and was led into his presence. He was given authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal—it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed. Isn't it amazing that this theme is found in every prophet? Enough talk about it already...let's get it happening!

7:18 But in the end, the holy people of the Most High will be given the kingdom, and they will rule forever and ever [YLT: unto the age of the ages]." As the Body of Christ, the "kings and priests," Jesus will rule through His overcomers. Quite a mind-boggling thought if you ask me!

7:21-22 As I watched, this horn was waging war against God's holy people and was defeating them, until the Ancient One—the Most High—came and judged in favor of his holy people. Then the time arrived for the holy people to take over the kingdom. Halleluiah! I saw David and Saul in this prophecy! David is being pursued and seemingly defeated by his Saul, until the Ancient One steps in and judges in his favor. And then it will be time for him to take over the Kingdom once again! Don't forget, Saul was anointed just as David was, for accomplishing the purposes of God.

7:23-25 "This fourth beast is the fourth world power that will rule the earth. It will be different from all the others. It will devour the whole world, trampling and crushing everything in its path. Its ten horns are ten kings who will rule that empire. Then another king will arise, different from the other ten, who will subdue three of them. He will defy the Most High and oppress the holy people of the Most High. He will try to change their sacred festivals and laws, and they will be placed under his control for a time, times, and half a time. Apparently this is 3.5 years. Interestingly, this all happened once in a sense in the early Church when the religious ruling system of that time was also a political power, and it changed the sacred festivals and laws. Hence Sunday and Easter. However, it appears that it will be fulfilled on another level at another time and I have often wondered if it will come down to the true followers of God being identified by keeping the sacred Feasts and Holy Days unto the end. I have also wondered if taking the mark of The Beast (666-the number for man) is observing man-made holidays instead of the God-ordained Holy Days. Worth pondering.

7:26-27 But then the court will pass judgment, and all his power will be taken away and completely destroyed. Then the sovereignty, power, and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be given to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will last forever, and all rulers will serve and obey him. This is once again repeated that God's holy people will receive the Kingdom.

119:162 I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure. Is God's Word your treasure today? Yes it is! You would not have been following along so faithfully through the Word for a year if it wasn't! I'm so proud of you-great job!

119:165 Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble. What a promise!

28:23 In the end, people appreciate honest criticism far more than flattery. This may be true in the end, but not in the beginning!
