I’m delighted to announce that Dr. Greg Smalley has joined the team here at Focus on the Family. From time to time you’ll be hearing him on our radio program, reading his articles and most importantly, benefiting from his wisdom and practical insight on marriage and parenting.

What a pleasure to welcome Greg to Colorado Springs!

If the name rings a bell, perhaps it’s because you’ve already come across Greg’s work yourself, or it may be because Greg is the son of our great and longtime friend, Dr. Gary Smalley. As the former Director of Marriage Ministries for the Center for Relationship Enrichment on the campus of John Brown University and an assistant professor of marriage and family studies, the younger Dr. Smalley is also an engaging communicator. He’s sharp, witty and down-to-earth. He and his wife, Erin, have three daughters (Taylor, Maddy and Annie), and one son (Garrison). He is keenly aware of the challenges and joys associated with parenting – and the fun and pitfalls of busy couples trying to keep the romance alive in their marriage.

You’ll also want to know that in addition to holding a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, Greg is an accomplished author, having written or co-written 10 books! His latest, The Wholehearted Marriage, is available here. All of his other books are also available through Focus.

Stay tuned for Greg’s on-air debut with me this October. I think you’ll find him refreshing, insightful – and entertaining. In the meantime, I hope you might spread the word, and when you cross paths with him, whether on the radio, or website, in Thriving Family magazine or via our social media outlets , won’t you please give him some feedback and make him feel welcome?
