Some Saturday scraps...

~7:37am~ EST
A number of very good things to tell you about that I did not take the chance to during the week - but do feel it is important to do so.

Last night "The Lovely Bride" and I are sitting finishing dinner on a very cold Friday night in NYC. (temp was around 11 and the wind chill was south of 0) When what to my ringing cell phone appears? A phone call from a friendly voice, my best man, my worship leading/musical soulmate - Doug Bardolph. We talked about all kinds of things. We laughed. We got caught up. It was good... Doug leads worship for Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church each Sunday.

As the bone chilling winds have finally hit the east coast that had been hovering over the midwest of recent, "The Lovely Bride" and I have decided that we will take down Christmas today. I am thankful the Christmas tree is not too far inside the front door - 'twill make it much easier to get it to the curb!

My good buddy Ben Shapiro made some waves this week. Literally. Getting highlighted in blogs like POWERLINE, his most recent column "Thirty Seconds of Insanity" is truly fun and worth some weekend consideration... In fact, so sharply written was it that critics like putz boy Bryant over at "I Wanna Be A Commentator" (by the way Bryant - what's with the girly cursive font for your blog page title - eeeh) tried to tear Ben's column apart. (Unfortunately for Bryant) He makes Ben look even more clever!

Speaking of fun...it is now easier than ever to watch the polls in key primary states. REAL CLEAR POLITICS does an excellent job of posting ALL polls in a given state and also averaging the results of those polls. In fact they do such a superb job, they will become a permanent link to this blog in short order...
