Jarvis vs. GOPBloggers - what the heck?

~11:57am~  EST
JARVIS vs. GOPBloggers: Boy a temptest in a teapot if ever I saw one!

Ok, as best as I can make out - Jeff Jarvis wrote this on his site  BuzzMachine. If you notice carefully - in his speaking of the significance of blogs in political campaigns - in that particular entry he did link (thus send traffic to) the Jon Corzine for NJ Governor blog. He did NOT however link to the Brett Schundler for NJ Governor blog.

GOPBloggers thought this was unusual for a "centrist" to link to one site and not the other. So they said something about it.

But it was what happened next that went to the realm of the bizarre.

Evidently Jarvis has a policy on his comments section that does not permit vulgarity/obscenity. According to GOPBloggers though - Jarvis evidently left an obscenity laden reply on GOPBloggers' comment section.

Personally, I can easily see how an honest mistake could have been made by Jarvis to begin with. I mean its not like he was stealing GOPBloggers' laptop or something.

But the intensity of the back and forth after such an incident I believe is indicative of the fact that poli-blogs are bored right now. Readership is down. Nothing is happening - and they have nothing to take out the frustration on.
