Idol Chatter: Archuleta Vs. Cook in the Finale

EDITOR’S “EDITOR’S NOTE”:  Coworker Chad has returned from vay-cay!  In celebration of his triumphal entry, and in reflection on last night’s predictable elimination (Sayonara Syesha!) and the remaining two finalists on American Idol Season 7, we offer possibly our shortest—and most lackluster—AI chat.  Ever!

Laura Mac says:  Welcome back from vay-cay.  Got anything to say about last night's elimination on American Idol?

Chad says:  Yep, thought it was a good one.

Laura Mac says:  Alrighty then.  Good chatting with ya. …

Chad says:  Just kidding.  I thought it was great.  The world is as it should be.  David vs. David in the finale.  I can't wait.

Chad says:  I thought David Cook's first song was fantastic on Tuesday night.

Laura Mac says:  Me, too!!!!

Laura Mac says:  I think Simon chose wisely in that song selection for him (“The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”).  And I don't care that Randy disagreed with that.

Chad says:  I'm increasingly frustrated with Randy.  Half the time I don't think he knows what he's doing or where he is.

Laura Mac says:  I think maybe he's tired and ready for this season to be over.  After all, the show’s ratings are continuing to decline.

Chad says:  Yeah.  I think he is obviously pulling for David Archuleta (who got a complete pass by the way on screwing up the lyrics on the second song – “With You”) which explains his completely contradictory comments on Cook.  I'm just glad he got called out on it.

Laura Mac says:  I totally missed the lyric mishap.

Chad says:  It was only one line, but he recovered.

Laura Mac says:  It'll be interesting to see what happens in the finale.  I hope The Cook rocks it out.  But methinks tweens will vote for The Archuleta.

Chad says:  I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen next week.  I wish I had a clue, but I think it's anyone's game at this point

Laura Mac says:  Yeah, I think I'm just ready to bag this whole thing.  I mean I'm even getting bored chatting about it right now.  Aren't you?

Chad says:  Are we still talking about American Idol?  I thought we had moved on to Desperate Landscapes.

Laura Mac says:  LOL

Laura Mac says:  I think our AI chats have officially sunk to an all-time lackluster low.

Chad says:  Even I'm bored with me.

Laura Mac says:  I'm sorry, what?

Chad says:  On that note, I'm off.

Laura Mac says:  Over and out.  And may the “sweet, sweet spirit” of American Idol live on.

Chad says:  Only one week left.

Laura Mac says:  Praise be.

Chad says:  Later.
