Porn Infiltrating Vine Video-Sharing App

The first six-second clips to filter through the newly-launched video app Vine seemed innocent enough: a very quick steak tartare recipe, banana animations and two young kids holding hands were among the cute and clever selections.

Then the porn started to show up.

Tags such as #sex and #porn have quickly started popping up on the app, featuring several adult videos that clearly pass the not-safe-for-work (or for kids) threshold.

In a statement to media outlets, Twitter is encouraging users to flag any inappropriate content. "Uploaded videos that are reported and determined to violate our guidelines will be removed from the site, and the user that posted the video may be terminated," reads the Twitter statement.
