A Blue Christmas, Pt. 2

For those of us who love the police, I’m suggesting that you might want to make it a “Blue Christmas” this year, in honor of the thin blue line that separates order from total anarchy in this society. Maybe you want to put a blue light on your tree, or in the wreath on your front door. It’s just a way to show our support, and remember the sacrifices made by our local police and their families to protect and serve us every day, in an increasingly-violent and selfish world. And Lord, we lift our law enforcement officers, military servicemen and women, and other first responders to you this morning. Emergencies know no holiday, and we realize many of these heroes will be risking their lives in our defense while we enjoy time with family and friends. Protect them, I pray, and let them know they are loved and cared for…in the perfect Name of Jesus…Amen!
