We're Ba-a-a-a-ck...

After months of indecision (and--honestly--no small amount of stalling), our daily (Sunday through Friday, 4pm ET) program is back on AM 560 in Philly, and worldwide at www.wfil.com! And please understand...we’re by no means 100% "ready to rock," but...if we waited ‘til we were completely prepared, we’d never make it back on the air!

I could share any number of reasons (OK, excuses) for why we've been "on hiatus," but you have much better things to do with your time. Most importantly, I believe, I've learned a valuable lesson the hard way.  A very smart man once told me that a talk show host--Christian, or otherwise--needs to have the calling and passion of a prophet. For over a year, I honestly lacked the will to be that lone voice, crying out in the wilderness. I had been tirelessly serving through a number of ministries, and had not allowed myself even a moment to stop and enjoy the fruits of those labors. Nor had I taken even a moment to refuel...to refill my spiritual tank...that I might actually have something worthwhile to offer the many deserving ministries that were counting on me. Not to mention, my equally-deserving family at home.

Well, that tank ran dry a few months ago, and there are still only fumes left in the fuel line. And I haven't figured it all out yet, but God has re-ordered my priorities; it's time to get back in the race. My passion has returned, and the calling is once again clear. Simply put: there are too many people perishing for a lack of knowledge of the Truth. And while political hate speech and the latest "Brangelina" sighting might draw a bigger crowd, I'm more determined than ever to use the platform entrusted to me to be a mouthpiece for the Good News. As always, if we are faithful to do His will...God will provide the increase...but in His time, and in His way.

So our radio listeners will be hearing a lot more from me again, and I'll be "cranking up the blogomatic" here online. My guiding verse will continue to be Philippians 4:8: “...whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable…if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”* It is these things we will ponder—and discuss—to the honor and glory of God. And if it pleases Him, may God grant us favor, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
