Christian actress and “The View” co-host Candace Cameron Bure has said that she does not oppose discussing LGBT issues on “Fuller House.”

“Fuller House,” a rebirth of the beloved “Full House” on which Bure starred, is set to release later this month.

Christian Today reports that, although the conservative Christian actress has been an outspoken advocate for Christian bakery owners who refused to make cakes for same-sex weddings, as well as for Christian football coach Joe Kennedy who refused to stop praying before games, Bure said she was open to discussing LGBT concerns on the new show.

"I'm always defending religious freedom and that's what I was talking about on 'The View.' I didn't describe my personal feelings about that," said Bure. "But I'm an actress on a television show and I support all things that we go through as human beings and would love all our characters to explore whatever issues that are current in our culture and our society today and I'm 100 percent on board with that."

This has been a big year for Bure with the filming of “Fuller House,” her new position as co-host on “The View,” as well as her commitment to her husband and three children.

In addition, Bure will be turning 40 this year.

“I've always enjoyed aging," she laughingly told PEOPLE. "But I'm kinda hangin' on to every last day that I'm 39!"
