Christian athlete Lolo Jones recently shared how God helped her through her hip surgery and the recovery process.

According to the Christian Post, Jones posted on Instagram, “Less than two months after hip surgery, I was able to hurdle for the first time. I was nervous to return. My prayer for you guys tonight is that courage always rises when things attempt to intimidate you. Today, I did baby hurdles."

Jones said she is building her strength back a little at a time. "Next week I will attempt a taller height. Strive until you overcome the tallest hurdle blocking your path. We are all hurdlers in life."

Before undergoing surgery, Jones said she was going to “Praise Him in advance.”

Jones said she wants to embrace all God has for her in 2015 and invited her fans to join with her in praying and fasting.

"Join me as I dedicate the first part of my year to hearing from God. I encourage you as well to set aside some earthly distraction for 21 days to hear more from the Lord. #socialMediaDetox #prayer #fasting #alreadyCravingaBurgeriRebukeYouSatan,” Jones wrote with her characteristic humor.
