A Christian radio host has been arrested on account of child sex charges. John Balyo of Michigan, the morning host of WCSG Radio has been accused of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, namely paying another individual to arrange sexual encounters with minors.

Chris Lemke, WCSG’s general manager said in a statement that the station was “shocked and deeply saddened to learn” of Balyo’s charges. The host was “put on indefinite paid administrative leave pending further investigation and the legal process.”

Investigators found Balyo a customer of Ronald Lee Moser, a known child trafficker. Police reportedly searched Moser’s home earlier this month, discovering child pornography and a 12-year-old boy. Authorities investigated Balyo’s home on Friday but it is unknown if any incriminating evidence was found.

Human trafficking expert Chris Johnson said, “Many times when you do have a brothel that’s raided, you do end up finding child victims, unfortunately, that are involved in the commercial sex trade...According to the Department of Justice, the average age a person enters prostitution in the United States is between 11 and 13 years old, so there is quite a prevalence of people who have sexual appetites with children.”
