Evangelical Leaders Hold Special Prayer Event before Inauguration

A group of evangelical leaders held a pre-inauguration prayer event today in Washington D.C.
According to Charisma News, the pastors leading the event, Dr. Jim Garlow and Pastor Dan Cummins, also lead the weekly worship services held for members of Congress and Capitol Hill staffers. These men were joined by Family Research Council president Tony Perkins, David Barton of Wallbuilders, and Mike Evans of Friends of Zion Heritage Center in Jerusalem.
A description of the event reads:
This "Special Inaugural Prayer Event" will focus on prayers for the nation, Administration, the Cabinet, Congress and Appointees, racial unity and for millennials."
It will be held at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, about a mile and a half from the Capitol, and attendees will also hear music performed by Stephen Amerson, who frequently performs for Congress and other officials who work at the Capitol.
The swearing-in ceremonies of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will take place at 11:30 a.m. EST at the Capitol in Washington D.C. where 800,000 to 900,000 people are estimated to be in attendance, according to Fox 25 WFXT news.
One man who is 91 and was present for Franklin D. Roosevelt's inauguration back in 1941 is even planning to make the trip from his home in New Jersey to be there for Trump's inauguration ceremony.
Trump himself seems excited about the inauguration, tweeting on Tuesday:
People are pouring into Washington in record numbers. Bikers for Trump are on their way. It will be a great Thursday, Friday and Saturday!
