Feminist Leader Apologizes to Christians, Becomes Pro-Life Advocate

A former feminist leader has apologized for protesting for abortion, after giving birth to a son.

Christian Today reports Sara Fernanda Giromin, founded the radical feminist movement Femen Brazil in 2012, a group the protested topless for abortion rights. Now Giromin, who is always known as Sara Winter, has repented of her past and became a pro-life advocate.

The change occurred after Giromin gave birth to her son last October. According to Christian Today, Giromin previously aborted her first child, but went through with the pregnancy of her second child, a decision that changed her perspective on radical feminism and abortion.

Giromin now says abortion "promotes the destruction of the traditional family and all moral values of society."

She has also asked Christians for forgiveness of her past activities.

Giromin said, "Asking for forgiveness is certainly not an easy thing to do. We went way too far and ended up offending many religious and non-religious people. I feel extremely happy and welcome. I never imagined that religious people take 'forgiveness' seriously. This is a learning experience for all who criticise Christians.”

"I thank all the Christians who have supported me and given me space to spread my new visions. God bless. I ask Christians for forgiveness,” she continued.

As a pro-life advocate, Giromin is now speaking out about the abortion of her second child, urging women to consider the ramifications of the decision.

She wrote, "Yesterday marked one month after the birth of my baby and my life has taken on a new meaning. I'm writing this while he sleeps serenely on my lap. It is the greatest sensation in the world. Please, women who are desperate to abort, think carefully about it. I was very sorry I did it. I don't want the same for you.”
