The French military has launched airstrikes against Syria in response to the devastating terrorist attacks that killed 129 people and injured 352, many critically. Christian Today reports the airstrikes targeted the ISIS stronghold in Raqqa; the terrorist organization had previously claimed responsibility for the attacks.

The military intended to strike a munitions depot and training camp in the stronghold.

The Defense Ministry said, "The raid... including 10 fighter jets, was launched simultaneously from the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Twenty bombs were dropped.”

The number of casualties from the airstrikes has not been reported.

NBC News reports the coordinated terrorist attacks were launched Friday (Nov. 13) at multiple locations around Paris and its suburbs. Gunmen and suicide bombers targeted a soccer game at Stade de France, a rock concert at the Bataclan concert hall, and several restaurants and bars.

Seven of the perpetrators are dead, six of whom killed themselves in suicide missions.
