High School Students Sing ‘Mary Did You Know’ While Waiting out Storm

While waiting out severe storms sweeping through the Atlanta, Georgia area, a group of high school students decided to pass the time by singing the Christmas song “Mary Did You Know.”

The video of the students' impromptu singing was shared on social media by teacher Jessica Pruitt Labbe, according to AJC.com. It now has thousands of shares and comments.

In the video, students are seen sitting in a long hallway, sheltering from the tornadoes and severe weather that hit the metro Atlanta area on Wednesday. They then break into spontaneous song, making for a beautiful rendition of the moving Christmas classic.

Here are some of the lyrics to the song:

“Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you?”

"Who's afraid during a tornado watch/warning," the original post reads, according to the NBC Atlanta station, 11Alive.com. "Not me because I'm reassured and reminded today that Mary's baby boy has got this!"
