Two rockets are reported to have landed near Jerusalem, the first time Palestinian militants have targeted the holy city, Sky News reports. The armed wing of the Islamist group Hamas said it fired a Qassam rocket toward Jerusalem minutes after air raid sirens sounded around the city, and the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that a rocket was fired from Gaza to an uninhabited area outside Jerusalem. There were no immediate reports of any impact. The attack came hours after Palestinian militants fired a rocket at Israel's largest city, Tel Aviv, which is believed to have landed in the ocean. No injuries were reported. 16,000 Israeli army reservists have been called up and heavy artillery has been seen on the Gaza border, increasing the possibility of a ground attack. Israel has also given the green light to the call-up of up to 30,000 reserve forces.
