Not even two weeks after the deadly terror attack at the Manchester Arena which killed 22 people, the UK has been the target of yet another attack.

Masked men drove a vehicle into pedestrians on London Bridge before exiting the vehicle and going on a stabbing spree, according to CNN.com. Seven people died in the attack and 48 others were injured.

After the suspects exited the van they had driven into the crowd, they reportedly made their way toward the popular nightlife district of  Borough Market. The attackers were also wearing fake suicide belts, causing widespread panic among victims.

The attack occurred around 10 p.m. local time and London police were able to shoot and kill the three assailants before they could take more lives.

This is London’s third terror attack this year, following the Westminster Bridge and Manchester attacks. Terror attacks have been becoming increasingly frequent in Europe, and attacks carried out with vehicles as a weapon have authorities particularly concerned.

In the wake of the London Bridge attack, UK Prime Minister Theresa May had some strong words:

"We cannot and must not pretend that things can continue as they are," she said. "Enough is enough."

May also condemned the radical ideology of the terrorists: "It is an ideology that claims our Western values of freedom, democracy and human rights are incompatible with the religion of Islam.”
