Megachurch Pastor in Critical Condition Following Boating Accident

Bayless Conley, megachurch pastor and evangelist, suffered undisclosed injuries in a boating accident on Monday evening in Southern California. He and another passenger were in critical condition following the crash. One other passenger had minor injuries.

The Christian Post reports:

“Local emergency officials reported that three people were injured when their 22-foot power boat crashed at full speed into the Isthmus near Two Harbors on Catalina Island, which is located off the coast of California.”

Conley’s congregation, Cottonwood Church in Los Alamitos, posted an update on their website explaining that their pastor had undergone successful surgery:

“Last night, Pastor Bayless and two of his friends were in a boating accident. Pastor Bayless underwent surgery that went very well, according to his Doctors. We know you love and care for Pastor Bayless, Janet and the Conley family.”

Cottonwood will be holding a special prayer and thanksgiving service at their Katella campus at 7:00 p.m. on January 29.
