Almost a full year after the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary school, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Investigators in Newton, Conn., recently stated that the mental condition of the shooter, Adam Lanza, caused him to be obsessed with the subjects of mass murder and violence. It was mentioned that he often played videogames with violent plotlines. A recent report on CBN states,

“Lanza was especially obsessed with the Columbine school shooting. He wrote a violent book in the fifth grade in which a character shoots his mother in the head.”

Newton families are still reeling from the loss of the 20 children taken in Lanza’s rampage. Investigators are still looking into the shooters history for more details. Though Nancy Lanza was concerned with her sons health problems, she never belived anyone to be in considerable danger. After an interview with lead investigator Stephen Sedensky, the The Seattle Times wrote,

"Sedensky said there was no clear indication why Lanza chose Sandy Hook Elementary other than that it was close to his home. He attended Sandy Hook from first through fifth grade, but he was never assigned to the classrooms where the shootings took place."

Further investigation appears to be pending.
