The threat posed by North Korea’s nuclear missile capability continues to increase. President Trump has issued a strong warning to North Korea, but dictator Kim Jong-Un appears unphased and has threatened to strike Guam.

FoxNews.com reports that President Trump warned North Korea of the “fire and fury” the U.S. is ready to unleash on the regime if they continue to pursue the threat of nuclear war.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson elaborated on the President’s comments, stating that, "I think what the president was doing was sending a strong message to North Korea in language that Kim Jong Un would understand, because he doesn’t seem to understand diplomatic language. I think the president just wanted to be clear to the North Korean regime that the U.S. has an unquestionable ability to defend itself, will defend itself and its allies and I think it was important that he deliver that message to avoid any miscalculation on their part."

Tillerson made this statement while traveling to Guam, a U.S. island territory in the Western Pacific which North Korea has threatened to strike.

According to The Christian Post, North Korea said it was “carefully examining” the possibility of striking Guam with a long-range missile, which it has reportedly successfully developed and tested.

Guam’s Gov. Eddie Calvo said Guam is prepared for “any eventuality.”
