The photo of a 4-year-old boy praying with Santa has gone viral. Charisma News reports Prestyn Barnette was visiting Santa at the Dutch Sqaure Mall in Colombia, South Carolina when he asked Santa to pray for a sick infant in Nevada.

According to Today, Barnette had heard of the baby, Knox Stine, from his grandmother who saw the prayer need on a Facebook group.

Knox had been found unconscious in his crib by his father on Nov. 30. Since then, the baby had been breathing through a ventilator at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas.

The infant’s mother, Mindi Stine said she knew something amazing was happening when she saw the viral photo. Since then, Knox’s condition has been improving, and the family is preparing to transition the baby home.

On the Team Knox Joseph Facebook page, the family wrote, "We have been praying for a miracle for Knox, and while we fully believe that God has already done miracles for Knox, we are hanging on, begging Him to send His healing to our baby boy.”

"Everything is happening so fast, and we are excited and apprehensive at the same time about the transition home."

To thank 4-year-old Barnette for his kindness, Stine’s father bought him the only other thing he asked Santa for: a Lionel train set.

Stine said, "We don't even have words to express how we feel, and how thankful we are. We have confidence and we have faith that God is going to work a miracle for Knox. He has so many people asking him for that."
