A plot to assassinate Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has been foiled.

According to Breaking Israel News, two Arab Israelis were indicted on Friday for their roles in a plot to plant explosives in Jerusalem’s Payis Arena where Netanyahu was scheduled to speak.

The two men are Hazam Sanduka, 22, an Arab resident of Jerusalem’s Old City, and Fahdi Abu Kia’an,19, an Israeli Bedouin from the Negev.

The two men had been arrested last month for aiding the enemy during wartime and being involved with Hamas. Kia’an was also found to be a supporter of the Islamic State.

Kia’an had planned on transporting explosives into the heart of Israel to carry out attacks. He also planned on carrying out a suicide attack by driving a car filled with explosives.

Twenty-five suspects were arrested last month as part of this plot. Breaking Israel News reports that most of them were students at Abu Dis University.
