The delegates of the Republican National Convention which is in its third day today, yesterday officially nominated Donald Trump as the Republican Party’s presidential candidate.

Although some remain opposed to Trump, the majority of the Party is rallying around him. Not only did the delegates officially nominate him as the GOP candidate, Trump’s children also gave what many are calling persuasive speeches in support of Trump, according to USAToday.com.

Donald Trump Jr. spoke passionately about the credentials his father has for the office of president. He compared his father to Hillary Clinton and stated, “If Hillary Clinton were elected, she’d be the first president who couldn’t pass a basic background check.”

Tiffany Trump, a recent college graduate and Trump’s daughter with his second wife, also spoke at the Convention. She revealed the personal side of her father, noting that he is someone who is caring, funny, and competent.

Other notable speakers on the RNC’s second night included Chris Christie and Ben Carson.

Christie, who had formerly been in the running to be the Republican nominee, gave an enthusiastic speech in favor of Trump, despite Trump passing over him in favor of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his VP pick.

Christie, as he often did during the Republican primary debates, came down hard on Clinton, talking about her role in the Iran deal, as well as her email scandal.

Ben Carson, another former Trump rival, also spoke at the Convention. Carson drew attention by also attacking Hillary Clinton, and particularly, by saying she had the devil for her role model.

“This is a nation where our pledge of allegiance says we are 'one nation under God,'” said Carson. “This is a nation where every coin in our pocket and every bill in our wallets says, ‘In God we trust.’ So are we willing to elect someone as president who has, as their role model, somebody who acknowledges Lucifer?”

Notable speakers for Wednesday night of the Convention include VP running mate Mike Pence and Trump’s perhaps most dedicated former rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
