Joshua Feuerstein, the instigator of the Starbucks cup controversy, is once again in the news because of his controversial statements which seem to call for the killing of abortion doctors.

Peacock-panache.com reports that, in a video Feuerstein released over the summer after the Cecil the Lion controversy, he called for his nearly two million followers to “punish” Planned Parenthood doctors.

Feuerstein’s video has resurfaced in the wake of the Colorado Planned Parenthood shooting, and many are calling Feuerstein out for what they believe to be a call to his followers to kill Planned Parenthood doctors.

“Planned Parenthood has hunted down millions and millions of little innocent babies, stuck a knife into the uterus, cut them, pulled them out, crushed their skull with forceps, ripped their body apart, sold their tissue, and threw them bleeding into a trash bin,” Feuerstein says in the video. “I say, tonight, we punish Planned Parenthood. I think it’s time that abortion doctors should have to run and hide and be afraid for their life.”

Feuerstein claims that his critics have taken the quotation out of context and have twisted his words, but some, like Michael Stone from Progressive Secular Humanist, said that this kind of extremist Christian rhetoric is what led to the recent Planned Parenthood shooting.

“The video is important because it demonstrates a dangerous and radical strain of Christian extremism that enjoys considerable popularity, and is part of a much larger campaign waged by conservative Christians within the Republican party to demonize abortion providers and Planned Parenthood,” Stone said.
