Student Goes on Stabbing Rampage in PA High School

A high school student is in custody for a mass stabbing in a Murrysville, Pa. high school Wednesday morning. At least 19 students and 1 adult were injured in the Franklin Regional Senior High School rampage; some suffered life-threatening injuries.

CNN reports that four seriously wounded victims were flown to hospitals  in the area by helicopter.

Dr. Chris Kaufmann of Forbes Regional Hospital said at least seven victims have “life-threatening injuries,” reports USA Today.

Ages of victims range between 15 and 60.  

Authorities got the emergency call at 7:13; the situation was controlled by police by 7:30 or 7:40.

The school posted an announcement to the public on its website writing, "A critical incident has occurred at the high school. All elementary schools are cancelled, the middle school and high school students are secure. Additional information will be released as soon as possible. Please keep our campus clear of traffic."
