Christian athlete Tim Tebow is giving all glory to God for a fan’s miraculous recovery after Tebow prayed over him last week.

Tebow, who is now playing baseball with a minor league team affiliated with the New York Mets, was signing autographs when he noticed the fan, whose name is Brandon Berry, collapse in a seizure.

Tebow quickly went over to Berry, laid his hand on him, and began praying. Shortly after, Berry regained consciousness.

After the event, many fans seemed to attribute the fan’s recovery to Tebow’s prayer, but Tebow humbly directed all credit to God.

"As far as me and miracles, no. But in the God that we serve, yeah, I do believe in miracles," Tebow said, according to USA Today. "I don't know what the situation was, but I know that the God that I get to serve is the God that always performs miracles in people's lives every day, all the time."

He added that he went to help Berry because it is a Christian’s duty to “be there for people.”

"In my opinion it's not even a choice. It's the right thing to do," he continued. "It's what you're supposed to do, in my opinion, and in those moments be there for people to help people because there's not a bigger, better, greater thing you can do in life than to be there for people in life, in a time of need, to help them."
