Christian celebrity and athlete Tim Tebow was recently a guest on The Tonight Show where he surprised a young woman with special needs with a prom dance.

The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon asked Tebow about all the work he does with charity, and particularly the Tim Tebow Foundation. Every year, the Foundation sponsors Night to Shine, which, according to the Foundation’s website is “an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older.”

Tebow himself attended several of the proms, bringing joy and encouragement to many young people.

One young woman, Judy Adams, who attended the Night to Shine prom in New York, had invited Tebow to the prom with her. He wasn’t able to attend the New York prom, but he had a special surprise for Judy on The Tonight Show.

Judy got to dance with Tebow as if they were at the prom. It was easy to tell how excited she was and it brought tears to the eyes of her mom who was with her.

Earlier in Tebow’s interview with Fallon he also discussed his career in baseball and his book Shaken as well as his newly-released book, Know Who You Are: Live Like it Matters.

Fallon said he loved Shaken and praised its encouraging words and advice.

Tebow added that he wants everyone to know, and particularly young people that “You are loved by the God of this universe. You are special. You are important. And you matter.”
