President-elect Donald Trump will reportedly be invited to the National Prayer Breakfast which will take place in February.

According to SRNNews.com, the event will take place in Washington, D.C., just two weeks after Trump is inaugurated as America’s forty-fifth president.

It has been traditional to invite the president to speak at the Prayer Breakfast since Dwight Eisenhower spoke at the event when it began in 1953.

President Obama spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast last year where he said that, "Faith is the great cure for fear."

Other elected officials also attend the Breakfast, along with various world leaders. Thousands of people are in attendance every year.

The Breakfast is generally non-political and ecumenical, but when Ben Carson was the keynote speaker in 2013, he caused a stir by criticizing the current administration's policies.

Trump is reportedly being invited to the Breakfast by Democratic Sen. Chris Coons who is visiting him at Trump Tower today. Trump will also reportedly be asked to speak at the event.

It is not yet known whether Trump will accept the invitation, although it is probable he will.
