France Seeks Aid of Other Nations in Fight against ISIS

France is seeking to enlist the support of other nations as it intensifies its fight against ISIS after last week’s Paris terrorist attacks.
U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron has pledged Britain’s support of France’s efforts and offered France the use of an airbase in Cyprus, according to SRNNews.com.
France has intensified its airstrikes against ISIS since the Paris terrorist attacks which killed 130 people.
“I firmly support the action that President Hollande has taken to strike ISIL in Syria and it is my firm conviction that Britain should do so too,” Cameron said.
France’s President Francois Hollande will be seeking to enlist the support of other countries this week as well.
On Tuesday, Hollande will be in Washington, D.C., attempting to convince President Obama that the U.S. needs to increase its involvement in Syria.
Hollande will also visit Russia this week, as well as receive German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday and Italy’s President Matteo Renzi on Thursday.
“We all need each other, so we have to find ways to coordinate” French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Sunday. “We can do that without a combined military command structure, we just need to talk to each other.”
