Big Church Day Out, the largest Christian music festival in the United Kingdom will not be permitting pro-life advocacy group Abort67 to set up an exhibit for the fourth year running. Other advocacy groups, including poverty, human trafficking and environment will have exhibit space.

The Big Church Day Out website says “The event provides an opportunity to promote social justice and missions issues, by giving a platform to various organizations, and allowing them to engage a wider audience in their vision.”

Abort67 typically uses graphic images of aborted fetuses to make termination of pregnancy “unthinkable,” though they promised to only hand out leaflets and fetal models at the festival. This year, the group will be set up outside the event so that the 20,000 visitors will still see their display reports Charisma News.

One of Abort67’s banners will say, “This is not a protest, but a plea for help.”

“Frankly, we are dismayed that the church, which claims to be pro-life, is blatantly ignoring the plight of the pre-born child. The church in this nation has been on a ‘day out’ over this issue for the past 46 year -- the Big Church Day Out event is making more of a deal about their carbon offsetting than about the fact that babies are being systematically tortured to death,” Abort67 founder Andy Stephenson said.
