A California woman was surprised to find that the Sony PlayStation 4 box she gave to her boyfriend for Christmas actually contained two Bibles.
Christian Today reports that Sandra Ortiz bought the gaming console from Target and was unsure if store employees would believe her that the PlayStation was not inside the box she purchased.
Ortiz said, "I felt like, you know, I just ruined Christmas for him and everybody else. He said he didn't want the Bibles unless they were signed by Jesus himself."
Target did allow Ortiz to exchange the Bibles for the gaming console she bought; the retailer said it had similar incidents occur in the past.
A Target spokesman said, "As soon as the guest brought the package back, we immediately apologized for any inconvenience and exchanged it for a new one."
According to Christian Today, Ortiz said she and her boyfriend now have new motivation to attend church.
"I'm taking it as a good message. Maybe I will be blessed this new year!" she said.
