Jumped the Manatee?

Has America's longest running television comedy hit a rut? Now starting its 17th season, The Simpsons may be running out of steam.

I may catch some grief for saying so, but I think The Simpsons is consistantly one of the funniest and most culturally relevant shows on TV. The show has been a part of our pop cultural landscape for so long, that today's 18-year-old college freshman does not remember a time when it wasn't on the tube.
