I liked what I read, but wanted to add a thought. Lookup "helpmeet" in a good Hebrew lexicon to do a word study. The Hebrew word is Ezer. Strong's number 05826. Briefly, these two verses in Genesis (2:18, 20) this word is used to describe Eve. All the other uses in the Old Testament this word is used to describe God. God made the woman to save the man when there is nothing else (except God) to save him. This is NOT meant to be a limitation on a woman that this is the only thing she can do, but an accent on how extremely capable a woman is. Study the word is see how from the very beginning, God has given to women great and wonderful opportunities and responsibilities.

Wow. I definitely want to read this book. I have grown so very tired and weary of listening to what it means to be a "biblically submissive woman," as if the only thing important about being a woman is that we indeed be submissive! It frustrates me that there isn't equally as much material on how men are supposed to be loving their wives as Christ loved the church, laying his life down for her, and what the word "head" actually means. It's not our rough, rugged, authoritarian, secular view of leadership, but rather, as you said, the servant-leader who truly follows in the footsteps of Jesus. I praise God that I am married to a man that does this faithfully.
