Uncle Nino Offers Excellent Opportunities for Discussion

With its “after school special” feel, “Uncle Nino” won’t impress movie connoisseurs or those looking for an engaging cinematic experience. It is, nonetheless, a positive family film that offers an excellent opportunity to talk with kids about a range of issues, from smoking to estranged family members to the importance of spending time together.

This Wedding Date Should Be a Very Limited Engagement

I’m a pretty easy sell when it comes to romantic comedies. Give me good characters, snappy dialogue and some acting, and I’ll enjoy it. After all, at the end of the rainbow, I believe, is love. But this film, despite solid performances from the cast (save Mulroney, who is appallingly boring), just doesn’t do the trick. So my prediction for this “Wedding Date” is one very limited engagement.

Million Dollar Baby Destined to Elicit Praise

It's one of those films that’s destined to elicit praise. Not only does Million Dollar Baby have an all-star cast, a talented director, and a good script, but it also has a strong, pro-euthanasia message. That's a formula to please many critics – and infuriate many Christians.
