Artist of the Year, {{Michael W. Smith}}, with Editor of the Music Channel, Mark Smeby. Smith won a total of six awards, including Producer of the Year, and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for ==Live the Life==. He's won 18 Dove Awards over his career, but this is the first for Artist of the Year.


{{Jaci Velasquez}} was selected as Female Vocalist of the Year. She also performed "Un Lugar Celestial" from her debut album ==Heavenly Place==.


This year's Male Vocalist of the Year, {{Chris Rice}}. His second CD, ==Past the Edges==, has received rave reviews and has positioned Chris as a key artist in the industry.


Not only did {{Jennifer Knapp}} win New Artist of the Year, but she also walked away with two additional Doves as performer and producer of the Rock Recorded Song of the Year for "Undo Me."


Jody McBrayer of vocal group {{Avalon}} stopped by to chat with crosswalk.com after their wins for "Testify To Love" (Pop Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year) and "Adonai" (Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year), both from their album ==A Maze Of Grace==.


{{Kathy Troccoli}} received her third career Dove Award this year for Inspirational Album of the Year, for ==Corner of Eden==.

Crossover sensation {{Kirk Franklin}} performed "Lean On Me" to close the show, after picking up Doves for Urban Recorded Song and Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year for ==Nu Nation==.


Crosswalk.com Music Award winner for Song of the Year ("Entertaining Angels"), Newsboys collected a Dove Award for Short Form Music Video of the Year.
