Charlie Hall has always lived close to the cutting edge of the modern worship movement. With his involvement in the Passion conferences and his propensity to tour with folks like Chris Tomlin, David Crowder and Rebecca St. James, Hall has made a name for himself both as a songwriter and a lead worshipper. In 2001 – after contributing to five Passion compilations - Hall released his major label debut, "Porch and Altar." He has been going strong ever since.

Critics have observed that Hall has the ability to be unflinchingly honest about the human condition while at the same time directing all focus and attention to Jesus. On his 2003 release "On the Road to Beautiful," he gave voice to restlessness, frailty and unanswered questions. Three years later, he is emerging with a bit of a different perspective, which is aptly reflected on his brand new release, "Flying Into Daybreak." Produced by David Hodges (Evanescence), the new disc has been characterized as rock-tinged and artistic, with a unique thread of hope woven throughout.

"I want this album to find a home in a lot of different communities," says Hall. "I want it to be heard by those who know God and those who don't and by those who are ready to throw the organized church out the window. My prayer is that the album would breathe life into them and speak something new, that the Holy Spirit would rest on the album and give it life wherever it goes and in whatever hands it finds its way into."

Hall is touring heavily in support of the new disc, and his shows will feature Erwin Raphael McManus (lead pastor of Mosaic in Los Angeles), and drama team All Things to All People (AT2AP). In addition, Charlie will be leading worship at Thirsty '06, a gathering for campus pastors and college leaders.
