ALBUM: The Living Room Sessions
ONE-LINE: A true believer of being "real," Chris Rice gets "real" with us in The Living Room Sessions.
I really mean it. Chris takes everything away except his piano and his heart. As he says in the notes of the CD, "... I decided to keep the humanness in."
From what I'm hearing, many people thought that Living Room was going to be live performances of Chris Rice favorites. Not so! Chris takes us back to the days when technology was not a household word. He reminisces about a time where it was just you, God, and the piano. A simpler time without all the "whistles and bells."
In light of this fact, there isn't really a track that stands out. It all sounds the same. If you want good background music that fades into the conversation or quiet-time music for your minutes of contemplation, this album is for you.
So the final word: No smooth production, no effects, just Chris.
Until Next Time ...
